Chief Master Sergeant Jeffrey A. Leemon Sr., is the 71st Aircraft Maintenance Unit Superintendent, 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, GA. The 71st Aircraft Maintenance Unit is responsible for the planning, scheduling and direction of preventive scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while performing inspections, servicing and launch and recovery actions to maintain the mission-ready status of 10 HC-130P Combat Rescue Hercules aircraft and 235 personnel across 8 AFSCs. The 723d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron personnel also rapidly generate, mobilize, deploy and employ forces to provide combat and peacetime search and rescue operations in support of U.S. national security interests.
Chief Leemon was born Dec 26, 1968 in Westmont New Jersey. He graduated from Osceola High School in Largo, Florida in 1987 and entered the Air Force on Dec 7, 1987 as a C-130 Tactical Airlift Maintenance Apprentice. He has held many positions both in and out of the aerospace maintenance arena of which his primary specialty is in the Aircraft Maintenance career field. His background includes various duties in the Aircraft Maintenance as well as serving as the Wing Inspector General, Flight Chief, and Lead Production Superintendent. He has deployed in support of Operations EDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, DESERT SHIELD/STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH, PROVIDE COMFORT and UPHOLD DEMOCRACY.
